Artist's Description

this art piece is very special to me...

i always liked the image of St.George, so when i've found this perfectly distressed, aged-looking piece of wooden board, i decided to paint this image in an icon style. i've modernized it a bit, however, by adding some elements of NYC downtown skyline (i.e. the Twin towers). it symbolized the existence of evil and ongoing battle against it in the modern world. i've finished painting it in August 11, 2001. one month later the 9/11 happened...

so, though i'll never consider selling the original, i'm offering for sale prints and cards with this meaningful image.
